The Spinal Injuries Association
The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) was set up in 1974 in order to support people with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). The founders themselves had SCI and, to this day, SIA is run by a board of trustees who live with spinal cord injury.

The Child Brain Injury Trust
The Child Brain Injury Trust (Cbit) supports children, young people and families affected by an acquired brain injury to enable them to achieve their potential. The group offer email and telephone helplines (local rate call), conferences, family events and training seminars for teachers, health professionals and parents.

Brake

A national road safety charity aiming to prevent death and injury on the roads through education of all road users and campaigning for Government improvements to road safety. The group also care for people who are bereaved or affected by serious injury in a road crash through support services, including a helpline and literature distributed through police officers.
Brake also provide a National Road Victim pack about what happens after a crash for people bereaved. It includes a booklet about coping with grief, practical information about burials, legal issues, personal finance advice, contact details for useful organisations and where to seek further help. Headway - The Brain Injury Association
Headway is a charity set up to give help and support to people affected by brain injury. It provides A network of local Groups and Branches throughout the UK offers a wide range of services, including rehabilitation programmes, carer support, social re-integration, community outreach and respite care. The services available will vary, depending on local needs and resources.
