In absolute numbers, severe traumatic brain injury is the most common injury type to cause death, but as a proportion

for the mechanism of mortality, asphyxia and drowning have the highest percentages.This information is important when

considering public health measures. 130 children (8.6%) were transferred out where final outcome is unknown.
